Free Internet Safety Workshop

The workshop includes lunch and advance registration is required due to limited space by contacting Rachel Morgan at Rmorgan@co.burlington.nj.us or phone (609) 265-5592. Registration is requested by Friday, October 7th.
Two NJ State Police detectives who specialize in Internet crimes against children will speak at 10am on “What Parents Need to Know.”
At 1:30pm, Dr. Amber Samaroo, Executive Director of South Jersey Counseling Associates, will speak on “The Mind of the Predator.” Dr. Samaroo provides forensic services for Family Court in several counties on danger risk assessment for mental health, sexual offenders and others.
“We encourage parents to attend this free workshop that will provide important information by experts in the field on how to protect children from the danger of Internet predators,” said Freeholder Dawn Marie Addiego.
The workshop is co-sponsored by the Burlington County Freeholders, Human Services Advisory Council and the Burlington County Commission on Abused and Missing Children/DYFS Advisory Board. The Emergency Services Training Facility is located at 53 Academy Drive, off Pioneer Boulevard and Woodlane Road behind the county library and animal shelter.
