by Press Release-Burlington County | Dec 13, 2005
Toy Drive Continues One More Week The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department 10th Annual Holiday Toy Drive will continue through Monday, December 19th.

“Toys must be at one of the 60 drop-off locations by 9 a.m. Monday, December 19th before collection begins,’’ Stanfield said. “We have 11 human services agencies that will pick up the toys on Tuesday (Dec. 20th) to distribute to families in need.’’

“Last year we collected more than 400 toys,’’ she continued. “I continue to be overwhelmed by the generosity of Burlington County residents every year. This program definitely makes a difference in many people’s lives, and it is one of the highlights of my year.’’

Residents are asked to drop off new, unused and unwrapped toys at any of 60 locations (see drop-off sites).

Distribution to agencies will begin at 11 a.m. December 20th in Room 209 of the County Administration Building, 49 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly after the personnel from the County Office of Consumer Affairs conducts a safety inspection of the toys (see distribution schedule).

The Community Services Unit, with assistance from the Senior Services Unit and Civil Process Office, coordinate the drive for the Sheriff’s Department. For further information, contact 609-265-3788 or access www.co.burlington.nj.us/departments/sheriff /community/index.htm.
