by Press Release | Jul 7, 2006
Racing for a Cure Wednesday Night, July 26 the Bridgeport Speedway in association with Local PBA #122 of Gloucester County, New Jersey present “Racing for a Cure,” a benefit for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. A $4000-to-win, 40 lap Big Block Modified event will headline the event with a $1200-to-win, 25 lap Sportsman under card, however the racing will be secondary to the cause as all proceeds from the event will be donated to the MS Society.

“We’ve witnessed the racing community come together, as a family, in tough times,” Jay Dugan a representative from the Bridgeport Speedway stated. “We’re relying on that family of race enthusiasts to help us raise funds for a good cause and maybe see some great racing action, at the same time.”

The ‘Racing for a Cure’ event will kick off at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, July 26, similar to many other Bridgeport mid-week specials. General Admission seating is available for $20 and Kids 12 & Under are Free. Open tire rules apply for both divisions and no pit license is required for $25 admission.

Participants will draw at random and start heads up for heat race competition; a re-draw for qualified cars will set the starting positions for the feature events. Consolation events will set the remainder of the field.

For more information or to participate in the event contact the speedway office at 856-467-4408 or visit the Bridgeport Speedway website at www.thenewbridgeportspeedway.com
