CONTACT Needs Volunteers
Volunteers are needed for the CONTACT Rape Care Program which provides services to victims of sexual assault in Burlington County. These volunteers will be trained as Rape Care Advocates through a 50 hour NJ sexual assault training program which will provide them with the information needed to assist survivors of sexual assault and their loved ones. Once their training is complete they will aid sexual assault survivors through supportive phone counseling as well as legal/medical accompaniments. Rape Care Advocates are asked to commit to one year of service (4 twelve hour shifts on-call per month). Our next training class is starting as soon as possible. Men and women age 18 or older with their own transportation are welcomed to train as volunteers.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer advocate and would like more information, please feel free to call CONTACT of Burlington County at 856-234-5484 or 609-267-3760, ext. 210, or e-mail tpalmer@contactburlco.org.
