Acting and Dance Classes at Dante Hall

Acting and Dance Classes at Dante Hall Dante Hall Theater of the Arts will soon open its doors to community members of all ages who wish to study a variety of acting and dance forms. Registration for the classes begins immediately by phone at 609-344-8877, and in-person registration will be held at Dante Hall on Monday, April 9th from 4-6pm, with eight weeks of classes to begin on April 16th.

Dance classes at Dante Hall will be taught by Atlantic City Dance Theatre’s Pattie Harris, and will be offered to students ages 4 and up. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced level classes will be taught in Tap, Jazz and Ballet, with additional classes offered in Jazz/Lyrical/Hip Hop and Ethnic/African Dance. For the little ones ages 4 through 7, Intro to Dance will familiarize students with a combination of dance forms.

Flossi Micciolo of the Ocean City Repertory Theatre will lead Dante Hall’s acting classes for students ages 5 and up. Beginning and Intermediate Acting will be offered, as well as classes in Musical Theatre and Adventure Exploration. For adults ages 18 and up, Ms. Micciolo will teach a class in Meisner technique, covering the basics of improvisational and scripted theater through targeted exercises.

We look forward to continuing that mission at Dante Hall.”

Dante Hall’s impressive space makes a great addition to the area’s arts education programming. With both a 243-seat theater and spacious classrooms, Dante Hall, located at 14 North Mississippi between Arctic and Atlantic Avenues, is the obvious solution for those seeking to expand their knowledge of an art form or explore something new within a safe and beautifully restored cultural landmark. Located within two blocks of Atlantic City’s outlets, The Walk, and surrounded by the time-honored attractions of the Ducktown neighborhood such as White House Sub Shop and Formica Brother’s Bakery Cafe, Dante Hall is adjacent to St. Michael’s Church and is visible from the A.C. Expressway. Free parking is available to patrons and students of Dante Hall in the church parking lot, located behind Dante Hall on Georgia Avenue.

Fees range from $100 to $120 for the eight week session with a one-time $35 registration fee. All fees are payable by cash, check or credit card.
