INLAND In Camden, celebrate the holiday with your favorite sea creatures at the Adventure Aquarium on Saturday, July 5 from 7-10pm. Cooper River Park in Pennsauken is rocking Friday, July 4 with a free concert featuring guitarist and songwriter Randy Bachman. The event starts at 5pm, but make sure to stick around for the unparalleled fireworks display.
The historic Battleship New Jersey is the perfect place to indulge your patriotism. The weekend long celebration begins on Thursday, July 3 with tours of the ship and a good old-fashioned BBQ on the rear deck. On Friday, July 4, celebrate our country’s independence with tours running on the regular summer schedule. Finally, the Annual Battleship Blast will take off on Saturday July 5. Festivities include a cocktail reception, dinner, and live entertainment, not to mention an amazing view of the best fireworks display this side of the Delaware River. Tickets start at $150. Come out toCherry Hill Township on Friday, July 4 at 8pm for live music from cover band Big City, followed by a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm. Festivities take place at the Jonas Morris Football Stadium, Michael J. Santarpio Field at Cherry Hill High School West, 2101 Chapel Avenue (856-488-7868). Rain date is Saturday, July 5.
Haddonfield’s Independence Day celebration--Check out The Original Hobo Band at 7:30 pm at Haddonfield Mem. HS, followed by a stunning fireworks show at about 9:30pm (rain date July 4). On Friday, July 4, registration for the parade is at 8:30am and the parade will begin at 10am at Kings Highway and Chestnut Street (www.haddonfieldnj.org).
Enjoy the parade in Barrington on Friday, July 4 at 10am, beginning at Atlantic Ave. and Clements Bridge Road, followed by float and bike judging at Wish-Upon-a-Star Park.
Check out Marlton’s Independence Day Celebration, which begins with a bike race on July 4 at 8am. Then, don’t miss the children’s bike parade at 10am, followed by another parade down Main Street at 11. If all that parade-watching has made you hungry, head over to Cherokee High School at 5pm for food and games, followed by a fireworks show at dusk. For more information, contact 856-985-9792. Come out to Collingswood for a day of festivities on Friday, July 4. First, catch the annual bike parade in Knight Park at 10am, followed by fun and games at Roberts’ Pool at 2pm. Don’t forget to check out the houses decorated for the 4th of July House Decoration Contest before heading over to the Collingswood High School Stadium. Come enjoy an all-day celebration in Moorestown on Friday, July 4. Get some exercise in the One Mile Fun Run, or relax and watch the parade on Main Street at 10am. The fun continues with games, eating contests, and more at Memorial Field following the parade (www.moorestown.com).
Hammonton’s annual festivities will be held on Friday, July 4th at Hammonton Lake Park. Free music and entertainment, games, and a great variety of food selections will be capped-off at the end of the night with a spectacular fireworks display. The event will begin in the late afternoon and the fireworks will begin just after dusk.

Smithville is holding their annual 4th of July parade and festivities on Friday, July 4th (www.smithvillenj.com).
Tired of parades and fireworks? Visit the Burlington County Amphitheater in Westampton on July 5 at 6:30 for a free all-American tribute show. Acts include the Paul Holtzman Orchestra and the Swing Sisters, plus a special secret guest. For more information, call 609-267-9660.
As always, Riverton will be hosting a huge celebration on July 4, starting at 8:30am with the Run for Fun, followed by the 111th annual children’s parade at 10am. Check out the Williamstown fireworks display on July 4 at dusk. The event will be held at the Williamstown Middle School, 561 Clayton Road, and will include food and entertainment. Oaklyn’s festivities begin on July 4 at 8am with fire engine rides at the Manor Avenue and PNC Bank parking lots. Then at 9am, check out the bike decorating contest also in the Manor Avenue parking lot. Finally, the parade kicks off at 11am followed by Cub Scout races at 12:30.
Get ready for a day of fun in Gibbsboro, where a variety of 4th of July festivities are taking place. The parade begins at 9am at Hilliards Road and ends at the cricket field around 10am where more amusement awaits in the form of egg tosses and wheelbarrow races. Cap off the day with a superb fireworks display that will commence just after dark.
Like many towns in South Jersey, Magnolia is offering food, music, and games at their July 4th Fair from 9:00am to 2:30pm. The activities will be held at Albertson Park on Evesham and Albertson Aves. Call 856-784-1731 for more information.
Stratford is kicking off their July 4th celebration early with fireworks at Sterling High School on July 3 at dusk. The annual parade will begin at 10am on July 4, with food and activities to follow at the Yale Avenue Recreation Complex. Visit www.stratfordnj.org for more information.
If patriotism is not your cup of tea, join the Lions Club at 4pm in Wenonah for the 12th Annual July 4th Wenonah Environmental Commission Hike. Participants should meet at the Glen Trail entrance on West Cedar Ave. For more information, call 856-468-6566.
Come out to Woodbury’s Frances Avenue Fields on Friday, July 4 for food, fun, music, and fireworks. The classic rock cover band Right Turn at 40 will perform from 6:30pm to 8:15pm, followed by fireworks at dusk. For more information, visit www.woodbury.nj.us.
Willingboro is doing things a little differently this year. Their annual parade will be held on July 4 at 1 pm, beginning at the former Village Mall and ending at the Municipal Building. At dusk, grab a blanket and head to Mill Creek Park for fireworks. Rain date will be Sunday, July 6.
Florence may be celebrating late, but they sure do have that patriotic thing down. Enjoy tons of activities on Friday, July 11 and Saturday, July 12 including a flag raising ceremony, parade, concert, fireworks, and more. DOWN THE SHORE
On Friday, July 4, Stone Harbor is holding family races and events at the 80th Street Recreation Field, beginning at 8am. Make sure to stick around for the concert at dusk, followed by fireworks at 9pm (www.stoneharborbeach.com).
Avalon has a two-day celebration planned which begins on July 4 with swimming races at 10am followed by a concert from 12-3pm at the 30th Street beach. The day ends with field races at 2pm and another concert at the Veterans Plaza at 7pm. From 11am to 6pm on July 5, food, music, games, and performers will entertain you at the Community Hall until 9pm when the fireworks begin. Call 609-967-3066 for details.
Wildwood is hosting its annual Independence Day Parade on Tuesday, July 4 at 9am. The parade proceeds to 2nd Ave from 15th and Atlantic Aves. Afterwards, check out the Freedom Festival at 7100 Ocean and Rambler Aves. in the Crest for food, live music, and children’s activities until 5pm. Later that evening, don’t miss the fireworks extravaganza at the Wildwoods Boardwalk at Pine Avenue beginning at 10pm. Call 609-523-1602 for more details.
Cape May’s Congress Hall will be hosting a gourmet Lobster Bake on July 4, complete with Maine lobster, clams, red bliss potatoes, and corn-on-the-cob. Alas, if you’re a traditionalist when it comes to the 4th, then savor classic BBQ cuisine at the All-American Picnic. Enjoy live music and great food before ending the night with a fireworks display. Also, Cape May is hosting their annual Independence parade, beginning at Philadelphia and Beach Aves., on Saturday July 5 at 1pm.
Sea Isle City’s Fourth of July Fireworks display will be held on Friday, July 4, at JFK Boulevard and the Beach, beginning at 9pm (raindate: July 5).
Ocean City will be having not one, but two, bike parades on July 4. One begins at 9am at the foot of the Longport Bridge and the other begins at 10am on 40th and Asbury. Then, head over to the kite flying competition at 5pm at Carey Stadium, 6th St. off Boardwalk, followed by entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display at 9pm. (www.oceancityvacation.com).
Head down to Atlantic City for the July 4 game between the AC Surf and the NJ Jackals and enjoy a fireworks display at 9:30pm.
Also, the Atlantic City Independence Day Concert will be held on July 4 at 12 at the Kennedy Plaza, with entertainment yet to be announced. In addition, the one-and-only Beach Boys will be playing on the beach (how fitting!) in front of the Hilton at 6pm. Both concerts are free.
