Farmer's Market Hot Chef Coming
Taylor is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. Before becoming executive chef of Los Amigos in West Berlin, he worked at the five-star Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, and the five-star Inn at Little Washington in Washington, Va.
Designed to help shoppers learn new ways to prepare the fresh produce they buy at the market, each class costs $5 per person (cash only) and participants register on the day of the event. (Space is limited and registration is first-come, first-served).
Located at Hartford and Centerton roads, the farmers’ market is sponsored by the Freeholders and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday, rain or shine (except during declared weather emergencies) through Nov. 7.
Part of the County’s Community Agricultural Center, the market offers residents an opportunity to shop locally for Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and unique crafts. Visitors also enjoy live music and free educational workshops.
The next chef scheduled to offer a cooking class at the market is Chef Robin Winzinger from Robin’s Nest in Mount Holly on Aug. 22. For more information, call the Division of Cultural Affairs and Tourism at (609) 265-5068.
