(Trenton) - New Britain used a 15-hit attack and eight shutout innings from Adam Flohr to beat Trenton, 9-1, Tuesday night and stop the Thunder`s 4-game winning streak.

The Rock Cats (40-29) scored twice in the 2nd and 3rd Innings off Trenton starter Derrin Ebert. They broke the game open with a 5-run 5th Inning that included a three-run homer by Mike Cuddyer, his 18th of the season.

Dustan Mohr led the attack with three hits, two runs scored and two RBI. He reached base all five times that he came to the plate.

Trenton (34-35) avoided the shutout with a 9th Inning solo homer by Garry Maddox, his 3rd hit of the night.

New Britain starter Adam Flohr (1-0), making just his second Double- A start, pitched shutout ball over eight innings. He allowed five hits and struckout nine.
