(Akron, OH)- Derrin Ebert held Akron in check over seven inning, while Luis Garcia whalloped a 3-run HR to help the Thunder to a 7-3 win over the Aeros Friday night.

The Thunder (38-39) finish their roadtrip to Erie and Akron with a 3-4 record. Trenton will remain in 5th Place in the Easern Division.

The Thunder started the scoring in the 3rd Inning with three straight hits. The third of which was a single by Angel Santos that scored Tonanye Brown for a 1-0 lead.

That lead was expanded in the 7th Inning when Trenton scored five runs. The big hits were an RBI single by Jerry Salzano and the three-run homer by Garcia, his 2nd of the year with Trenton.

Akron starter Jason Stanford (4-4) allowed six runs over seven innings and took the loss.

Derrin Ebert (6-4), who had allowed 23 hits in his last two starts, held Akron to two runs and five hits over seven innings for his second straight win.

Trenton returns home to meet Harrisburg on saturday at 6:35 PM. Josh Hancock (5-3) goes for the Thunder against the Senators Mark Mangum (3-5).
