SEAWOLVES PULL OUT 4-3 WIN

(Trenton)- Erie used a four-run 6th inning a solid pitching to hold off the Trenton Thunder, 4-3, on Friday night. The loss was the 3rd in the last four games for Trenton.
The Thunder (27-32) ran out to a 3-0 lead thanks to a pair of sacrifice flies from Aaron Capista and a solo homer by R.J. Johnson in the 5th inning.
Erie (43-17) scored all of their runs in the 6th inning off Derrin Ebert. Andres Torres strated the inning with a bunt hit followed by a double from Omar Infante. Eric Munson hit a one-hop shot off Ebert for an infield hit to make it 3-1.
After a ground out made it a 3-2 game, Kurt Airoso tied it up with an RBI single that brought the night to an end for Ebert. Brian McClure got the lead run in on a single off Andy Hazlett to make it 4-3.
Luis Pineda (5-2) got the win by working six innings. He allowed three runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts. Shane Heams followed with two scoreless innings. Terry Pearson worked a 1-2-3 9th inning for his 11th save.
Erie and Trenton meet again on Saturday at 6:35 PM. Josh Hancock (3-3) goes for Trenton against Erie`s Tim Calita (8-3).
