SENATORS EARN SPLIT WITH 6-2 WIN

(Trenton)- Valentino Pascucci homered and scored three runs to lead the Harrisburg Senators to a 6-2 win over the Thunder Tuesday night in front of 7,676 fans at Waterfront Park.
The crowd was the 6th largest in Waterfront Park history and the 4th largest for a Thunder regular season game.
The Senators (40-44) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the game on Trenton starter Jason Sekany (1-4). Pascucci hit his homer in the 2nd Inning for a 1-0 lead.
Trenton (40-41) cut the deficit to 4-2 with single runs in the 7th and 8th Innings. Mark Fischer hit a solo homer to make it 4-1. Tonanye Brown made it 4-2 on an RBI double. The Thunder had the tying runs in scoring position, but Jim Serrano got Steve Lomasney to pop up to end the inning.
Brent Billingsley (4-3) allowed two runs over 7.2 innings to get the win. Serrano got the final four outs for his 16th save.
Trenton heads to New Britain for a July 4th doubleheader that starts at 4:35 PM. Mike Kusiewicz (3-4) starts the first game for Trenton. ****************************************** THUNDER ACTIVATE KUSIEWICZ
(Trenton)- After tonight`s game, the Thunder activated LHP Mike Kusiewicz from the Disabled List.
Mike, acquired in a Minor League trade on March 29th, has been on the D.L. since June 23rd because of a blister on his pitching hand.
