SJ Kids - Skate Parks

Initiated in 1997, when officers from the Police Department suggested that the Township's Recreation Advisory Board include a facility for skateboarders in one of the two new park facilities under development by the Recreation Department.
This facility is approximately 30,000 square feet, and houses the following components. Starting Bank, Quarter Pipe with bump, Pyramid, Cement Block, Spine Ramp, S-Curve Ledge, Fun Box, Half Pipe, Quarter Pipe & Bank Ramp and a Quarter Pipe.

Next we head over to Moorestown for the Moorestown Vans Skatepark. This 37,000 plus sq. ft. skatepark, located inside the Moorestown Mall opened its doors to the public on Saturday, April 28. The skatepark's features range from popular staples to the innovative and unique. They include:
Session times are divided into two-hour blocks between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Skaters will pay between $11 and $14 a session, or purchase a one-year membership for fifty dollars that allows them to skate at a discounted session price, between $7 to $9, depending on the time of day.

And last, we head over to Vert Planet in Pennsauken. This indoor facility houses Inline skating, skateboard and BMX areas, a pro shop as well as events through out the year. Rentals are available. For more information and directions, click here.
