Evidence Links Six SJ Homicides

Physical evidence linked the shootings, Camden County Prosecutor Lee A. Solomon said, but he would not give details or suggest a motive.
He also said his office was increasing the reward for information leading to conviction in the crimes to $25,000, up from $10,000.
Authorities have said shell casings found at all three crime scenes were from the same type of gun. Ballistics tests are being conducted to determine whether the same gun was used in all three shootings.
Solomon would not say if investigators believe one person was responsible. "I would be very careful about jumping to any conclusions," he said. Each of the six victims had been dead at least 24 hours before being discovered, and they were probably not killed in the order they were discovered, Solomon said. In Lindenwold, the body of Kasim Dale, 24, was found Feb. 5 behind an apartment complex, along with a wounded 18-year-old male, whose name has not been released. Chris Ferguson III was found dead in his Lindenwold home on the morning of Feb. 7.
That evening, four more bodies were found in Winslow Township: Donald Mays, 42, of Winslow Township; Corlis "Coco" Williams, 43, of Berlin; Una Bethune, 30, of Winslow Township, and Absalom Giddings, 30. They were in Giddings' home, along with a small amount of crack cocaine, authorities said.
Also that evening, six men were arrested as part of a previously planned drug sweep in the same section of the township, known as West Atco.
