SJ Kids: HS Comp. Programmers Excel!
This year’s contest, held on Friday, March 22, at the Blackwood Campus of Camden County College, was the 18th annual occurrence of the event. The competition tested proficiency with the C++, QBASIC, and Visual Basic computer languages. Competitors had to demonstrate the use of numeric and string variables, one-dimensional arrays, and other key components using structured programming techniques.
Plaques, furnished courtesy of the college and Course Technology of Thomson Learning Publishers, were awarded to the top five placements in both team and individual categories for each programming language.
Competing this year were students from Cherry Hill East, Cherry Hill West, Collingswood, Eastern Regional, Haddonfield Memorial, Haddon Heights, Highland, Moorestown, Ocean City, Overbrook Regional, Winslow Township and Woodstown high schools.
