WebSite Review: NJ Transfer Are you currently in college? Are you graduating high school this month or within the next year? Do you need help selecting college or finding the right program of study? If so, NJ TRANSFER's new website, www.njtransfer.org, can help you!

NJ TRANSFER has a new website that is dedicated to helping students with the process of furthering their education in New Jersey. With just one click, you can find answers to many of your questions. njtransfer.org is an excellent website that provides valuable services you may need, including easy access to course information, links to college websites, and courses transfer information so you can see which courses you've already taken will transfer to another school to satisfy a four-year degree requirement.

NJ TRANSFER is a nonprofit organization that is funded by the New Jersey Commission On Higher Education. The website, www.njtransfer.org, can help you find information about colleges and universities, course equivalencies between two-year schools and four-year schools, and can help in evaluating each program of study and provides a look at what courses you would need to take. To do this, NJ TRANSFER follows a course a catalog provided by each four-year school.

The NJ TRANSFER is a website designed to help students, counselors, parents, teachers, and faculty. The site came on-line in January of this year. By using the website, students and counselors can quickly find the link to NJ institutions for course curriculum and virtual campus tours. The site also provides the information about scholarships and financial aid. In addition, by accessing the website, the students can link to other NJ schools to help determine where their credits can be transferred. Students can also use NJ TRANSFER to help locate a recommended course of study, so they are better prepared when transferring. This not only saves time, but money as well! A properly prepared student will save money by not taking unnecessary courses. NJ TRANSFER's easy access to information provides answers to questions about college major, tuition, and location. This can save parents and students time and money by removing the need to make phone calls or visits to college campuses. The website also provides the necessary information for you to contact a New Jersey college or university if you need information about admissions, transferring courses, or transfer recruitment events.

In mid-2002, college and university faculty, deans, and advisors will be able to use NJ TRANSFER's online maintenance features to update and modify their institution's academic information. In late 2002, students interested in a specific major(s) will be able to learn which four-year institutions offer their program of study. And, in 2003, registrars will be able to use NJ TRANSFER to send transcripts electronically between New Jersey's two- and four-year institutions.

Overall, this site is well laid out, easy to use, has lots of valuable information, and promises to become a more valuable tool as more features are added throughout the year.
