SJ Schools: Delsea Regional HS
Delsea students rounded up the 2002-2003 school year with several accomplishments. Congratulations to the following students who displayed academic and athletic excellence as well as became positive role models for future Crusaders.
Each year, Delsea honors its athletic students with the Athlete of the Week award. These students must show excellence through one of Delsea’s co-curricular sporting activities. Congratulations to Frank Borelli, Darnell Elie, Stacey Foster, and Lauren Hartman for earning this recognition in the 2002-2003 school year for their respective sports.
This year, the Delsea media center held a poetry contest for students to display their talent through creative writing. Students from each class entered poems and one student per class was chosen as a winner. Congratulations to Heather Farquer, Justin DiBiase, Sean Dougherty, and Michael Chini for their winning entries.
Delsea’s music students enjoyed a banner year during the 2002-2003 school year. They earned several awards including All South Jersey Band, All South Jersey Chorus, All Eastern Symphonic Band, All State Band, All Eastern Chorus and the Recipient of NJ Governors Award in Arts Education.
Delsea students are committed to helping the needy and homeless students in the Delsea community. The ‘Crusader’s Crusade’ was established in 1995 to help the homeless students that attend Delsea. The club solicits donations year round to help children that have lost their homes to a fire, have been abandoned by their parents or have lost their home due to financial reasons.
