Thunder Pound Out 15 Hits In Win Over Ravens

(Trenton)- The Thunder batted around in 6th and 7th Innings, scoring 10 runs, in an 11- win over New Haven Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 1-0 in the sixth, Trenton (62-64) loaded the bases with none out. Mark Fischer delivered an RBI single to tie the game. Jess Graham followed with a two-run hit to give Trenton the lead. After an error got Mike Rose on base, Angel Santos delivered an RBI single that sent Ravens starter Nick Stocks to the showers.

Stocks (2-9) allowed four runs (three earned) on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings. Meanwhile, Trenton starter Greg Montalbano (2-2) worked six solid innings for the win. He allowed one run on six hits with four strikeouts.

The Thunder continued their assualt with a six-run 7th Inning that included RBI doubles from Luis Garcia, Mark Fischer and Santos, along with a two-run single by Freddy Sanchez and a run-scoring hit by Graham.

Trenton hosts Norwich on Monday at 7:05 PM in the first of a three-game series. Josh Hancock (8-5) goes for Trenton against the Navigators` Brian Rogers (8-8).
