Cherry Hill Fire Dept. Needs Your Support

Since September 11, 2001, the Cherry Hill fire department has heard from many members of the local community who want to thank the members of the department for their efforts and to offer support. Usually, the response is “Just know that we are there for you, 24 hours a day, whenever you need us!”
This year, however, they really can use your help. On Saturday, February 16, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the Cherry Hill fire department will be holding their annual Budget and Commission Election at the Erlton, Church Road Civic Association, Woodland, Woodcrest, Springdale Rd, & Marlkress Rd. fire station locations. The spending and capital plan includes a small increase in your fire tax. This increase is needed to cover the rise in insurance costs, Worker’s Compensation and Benefits. In addition, two much-needed fire stations will be built, building repairs will be made, and an additional company will be staffed with trained, professional Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians to greatly enhance the department's ability to service the community.
The members of the Cherry Hill fire department are asking you to help them by visiting your fire station on February 16th and supporting their budget. Look for their mailer that fully explains the Fire Department, their budget, and all that they do for YOUR community. For questions, contact the Cherry Hill fire department at (856) 795–9805.
