Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks

Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks What a fun game that was last Monday night! Both teams were up and down, but both had some great opportunities to win. It was nice to see McNabb finally step up and play well when the chips were down – that last drive was what winners are all about. Can they keep it up against a desperate Giants team this week? This game scares me...for the details and all of the predictions click on in...

St. Louis (-6) at Chicago: The Rams won with smoke and mirrors last week, but against the Bears, the high octane offense will return. Not even close...

Rams 30 – Bears 17

Houston (+7) at Buffalo: Houston is getting better and the Bills are looking very old. I think the Texans can keep it close, but a win on the road is too much to ask.

Bills 24 – Texans 20

Baltimore (+6) at Miami Both of these teams have played ugly football lately. Six points seems like a big spread in what should be a defensive battle, but the Ravens may not score at all this week with Anthony Wright at QB.

Dolphins 16 – Ravens 13

Washington (+6) at Carolina: It's a circus with the Redskins these days. Spurrier and Snyder are both a joke – how did these two egos ever get in the same place?!? Stephen Davis will take great pleasure in running the ball down the 'Ol Ball Coach’s' throat. Carolina keeps on winning.

Panthers 23 – Redskins 17

Jacksonville (+10) at Tennessee: The Jags are still on a high from last week’s upset over the Colts. That won't happen again this week.

Titans 31 – Jaguars 20

Atlanta (+8½) at New Orleans: For the Falcons, see the Jaguars above. The Saints aren’t as good as the Titans, though.

Saints 27 – Falcons 20

Arizona (+6½) at Cleveland: This could be a close game. The Cards are playing better and the Browns are in disarray. What is Butch Davis doing out there?

Browns 20 – Cardinals 17

Kansas City (-6) at Cincinnati: The Bengals are much improved and playing at home will help them this week. Could this be the week the Chiefs are proved mortal? Don't count on it.

Chiefs 30 – Bengals 28

N.Y. Giants (+3½) at Philadelphia: Man, this game scares me. The Eagles should get a big emotional lift as Brian Dawkins will return to the secondary. The Giants are a mess and are missing their all-pro (and all-mouth) tight end, as well as most of their starting secondary. It looks like the Birds should romp, but these games are always close and these teams rarely sweep anymore. The Eagles have been winning ugly, but at least they're winning. I think they'll pull it out late again here. If they do, they’ll be sitting pretty in the division and the conference.

Eagles 20 – Giants 17

N.Y. Jets (+6½) at Indianapolis: The Jets are trying to climb back into the race while the Colts look like they are trying to get out. The Jets are desperate, but the Colts are home. Tough call here – Jets should at least cover, but I think their season is over if they lose here.

Colts 28 – Jets 26

San Diego (+8) at Denver: It was great to see Doug Flutie work his magic again last week. I don’t think he can keep it up, though. The Snake returns for the Broncos. Too much for the Bolts to overcome.

Broncos 30 – Chargers 23

Detroit (+10) at Seattle: Detroit got their last win in a while last week.

Seahawks 27 – Lions 13

Minnesota (-4½) at Oakland: The Raiders look awful and the Vikes have been rolling. So here’s my upset of the week!

Raiders 24 – Vikings 21

Green Bay (+4) at Tampa Bay: Two teams that suffered tough losses last week look to bounce back. I’ll take the Bucs under Gruden at home. Favre looks hurt pretty bad to me.

Bucs 26 – Packers 20

Dallas (-4) at New England: Bill vs. Bill, pupil vs. teacher. I think the pupil gets the better side of this one.

Patriots 21 – Cowboys 16

Pittsburgh (+3½) at San Francisco: Neither one of these teams is very good this year. The Steelers clearly need a QB who can get the ball to those great receivers and the pourous O-line looks awful. The Niners have just been kind of hanging around so far this year, but in a close one, I’ll take the Steelers in an upset.

Steelers 24 – Niners 23

Enjoy the games!
