Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks

by Vegas Hags | Dec 28, 2003
Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks The Eagles won big yesterday and can now look forward to the playoffs. If you are a math wiz, there are several hundred scenarios for the playoffs that will be determined by this week’s games. Who’s in, who’s out? Who gets the byes? Who goes on the road? Get all the picks right here...

St. Louis (-10½) at Detroit This will be closer than you think. The Lions aren’t nearly as bad at home as on the road, and their coach knows the Rams well.

Rams 30 – Lions 23

N.Y. Jets (+4) at Miami The Dolphins need this game in a big way, but I still think the Jets come to play. In a close one…

Dolphins 20 – Jets 17

Chicago (+10) at Kansas City The Bears have played admirably of late, but today they get smoked.

Chiefs 35 – Bears 17

Jacksonville (+3) at Atlanta Both of these teams have played better lately. It sure helps to have Mike Vick.

Falcons 23 – Jaguars 21

Indianapolis (-7) at Houston The Texans are better at home, but the Colts are on a mission.

Colts 27 – Texans 17

Tampa Bay (+6½) at Tennessee The Bucs blew it last week and are officially out of here. The Titans should dust them at home.

Titans 27 – Bucs 20

Dallas (-1½) at New Orleans This should be a tough game, but the Cowboys have a lot more to gain (potentially) with a win. The Saints may melt down after last week’s horrendous last second loss.

Cowboys 22 – Saints 17

Cleveland (+7½) at Cincinnati The Browns are awful and the Bengals need this to have a slim shot at the playoffs. 7 ½ is a lot, though.

Bengals 23 – Browns 20

Carolina (-5½) at N.Y. Giants The Giants have lay down and died and even a rivalry with an old coach won’t wake them.

Panthers 17 – Giants 13

Minnesota (-7½) at Arizona The Vikings need this one bad, but they stink on the road. The Cardinals just plain stink…everywhere.

Vikings 28 – Cardinals 24

Denver (+6½) at Green Bay If Brett Favre can put up another perfect game, the Pack has a shot. Both teams may need this one, and even though the Packers are home, Denver has more talent. If the Titans win early, the Broncos could play dead. Tough call, but I’ll take the home team in more desperate circumstances.

Packers 26 – Broncos 23

Oakland (+4) at San Diego Two teams with nowhere to go but home. This is one of the few games this week with no importance at all. Whatever.

Raiders 17 – Chargers 16

Pittsburgh (+7½) at Baltimore This is a good rivalry, but the Ravens are playing very well and are at home. They also clinch the division with a win. The Steelers are toast.

Ravens 23 – Steelers 20

Enjoy the games!
