Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks

Vegas Hags Pigskin Picks Dallas (-3) at Detroit This looks like a no-brainer for Dallas, but this is a trap game for the Boys. A letdown after the big win against the Eagles could very well happen here, Bill Parcells or not. I like the Lions as the upset of the week.

Lions 20 – Cowboys 17

New Orleans (-1½) at Atlanta This could be an ugly game. Neither team is playing well, and the Falcons just switched QB’s. Where are you Mike Vick? I think the disarray in Atlanta is enough to warrant a Saints win here.

Saints 23 – Falcons 20

Green Bay (-4) at St. Louis It was a short week for the Rams and a tough week for the Pack. This should be a close one with a lot of offensive fireworks. Take the home team in a squeaker.

Rams 35 – Packers 32

Tennessee (+1½) at Carolina Say goodbye to the unbeaten record. I think the Panthers collapse a little here against a tough Titans team.

Titans 19 – Panthers 16

New England (+5½) at Miami I love these AFC East showdowns! No holds barred, usually no defense, always close. 5 ½ is a lot – it should be much closer than that.

Dolphins 27 – Patriots 25

Philadelphia (+3) at N.Y. Giants Do or die for both teams. It’s hard to pick the Eagles in the Meadowlands, but I have to think they are less screwed up than the Giants right now. This will be a nasty game with a lot of defense. Who knows what Andy Reid will game plan, but if the Birds run the ball, they can pull one out. If he elects to throw the 2-yard slants all day, forget it. Jim Fassell is on the hot seat worse than Big Andy after this one.

Eagles 17 – Giants 14 Baltimore (+2) at Cincinnati The Bengals stink. It should be Carson Palmer time soon.

Ravens 16 – Bengals 10

Denver (even) at Minnesota The Vikes had an extra week to prepare (bye) and the Broncos are going with their back up QB. That being said, it will be a very close game. Beurlein is a great back up and knows the system. Can the Vikes go to 6-0? I think so.

Vikings 27 – Broncos 24

San Diego (+5 ½) at Cleveland San Diego is horrible and the Browns seem to be coming on. I think that trend continues this week.

Browns 21 – Chargers 13

N.Y. Jets (-3) at Houston The Texans are getting better and the Jets are…who knows? I guess they’re treading water waiting for Chad Pennington to return. I think the home team pulls one out here.

Texans 22 – Jets 20

Chicago (+10) at Seattle I don’t care who the QB is, Da Bears are awful. Seattle should pound them at home.

Seahawks 30 – Bears 17

Washington (+2½) at Buffalo I told you the Redskins are a mirage. Another loss comes this week as Steve Spurrier gets that smarmy grin wiped off his face.

Bills 26 – Skins 20

Tampa Bay (-3½) at San Francisco San Fran is almost as painful to watch as the Eagles this season. I don’t think home field will do them much good this week.

Bucs 24 – 49ers 17

Kansas City (-3½) at Oakland The Raiders look pretty bad, but the Chiefs have to lose sometime and this is a great rivalry that yields very close games most of the time. At home, I like the Gray-ders to pull it out on MNF where they seem to flourish.

Raiders 28 – Chiefs 27

Have fun watching the games, and don’t forget to take something for your stomach before you watch the Eagles game!
